Green buildings LEED

The "Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design" (LEED) and the Green Building Rating System (TM) is a certificate system from the USA which evaluates buildings with respect to their healthiness and ecological value, as well as their energetic efficiency, recycling of natural resources, etc. Europe has also established similar norms with Spain adopting the Código Técnico de Edificacion (Building Technical Code). However, concerning construction materials, solar energy, heat recovery systems and utilization of waste water, bühler & partners has already been applying these standards over the last 10 years.
